‘Whoever recites the Surah Yasin once, ALLAH (SWT) will record the benefit of reciting the Quran ten times,’ the Prophet stated.Īccording to Aisha (Radi Allahu Anha), the Prophet (PBUH) mentioned that there is a Surah in the Noble Quran that intercedes for the reciter and forgives the listener. Virtues & Benefits of Reciting Surah Yasin The Surahs revealed at Makah are known as Maki Surahs.Ī close study of the style reveals that the Surah Yasin was either sent down during the latter stages of the middle Makkan period or that it is one of the Surahs sent down during the final stages of the Prophet’s(PBUH) sojourn in Makkah.
The Surah Yasin was revealed in the West Arabian towns of Mecca (Makkah). That’s why Surah Yasin is also known as the Heart of The Noble Quran.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH ) once said: “Surely, everything has a heart, and the heart of the Holy Quran is Surah Yasin, and I would like this to be in the hearts of all believers in the Islamic community ”. The surah(Surah Yasin) concludes with arguments in support of the Resurrection’s existence and God’s absolute authority. As a warning to current and future generations, the surah(Surah Yasin) recounts the penalties meted out to previous generations of nonbelievers.įurthermore, the surah(Surah Yasin) reaffirms God’s (Allah SWT) sovereignty as seen by His creations through signs from nature. The Surah Yasin concentrates on establishing the Noble Quran as a divine source and warns against mocking God’s (Allah SWT) revelations and being obstinate. The Surah Yasin begins in Para(Juz) 22, but most of it is in Para(Juz) 23. Surah Yasin is composed of 83 verses, 807 words, 3028 letters, and five Rukus.
